What are the negative side effects to quitting smoking?

I just recently quit smoking and for some odd reason, have been really drained of energy. Ive been told this could happen.
What other negative side effects can I expect now that I am no longer a smoker? (besides, of course, craving one… oh! and wanting to eat like a hog)

Chantix/side effects/weight gain/quit smoking?

I have been taking Chantix for eight days now. I am still smoking just as much as before (about a pack a day) and still have all the cravings. But I am notcing that the nictoine does not supress my appetite, I am constantly wanting to eat, even though I am still smoking. Also I have awful nausea when I take the pill, even with a full stomach. I am very tired mostly all day, when I am usually a busy bee. So my questions are, how long does it take to quit and not even want to smoke? How long did the side effects last? And did you or someone else have weight gain from eating or from the pill in general and what is the best way to deal with the weight gain? Also, any tips on how to break the habit in general, to help with the mental part of it, by using smoking to break up your work day, or not to smoke when your stressed? I just want it to work, but I have no desire to quit at all after day 8. Any help is greatly appreciated! Thank you,

So i quit smoking for new years. I haven’t had a smoke or a pull from one since then.
The first week was brutal with my bitchiness..now its been a month and i was wondering if i could still get really bitchy and angry because of it?
and if so for how long?

Has anyone used Bupropion to quit smoking? Side effects are getting unbearable?

I’m taking Bupropion which is generic for Wellbutrin. 150mg 2X daily. I’m having side effects like sweating, hives, dizziness, and massive headaches. I have stopped this medication cause i don’t think i can take the side effects anymore. According to the pharmacist she says that the hives/rash are normal? For the first couple of days?
I have taken Wellbutrin XL in the past and I have never had such a break out/side effects like this. I’m wondering if it could be the Generic form? That my body doesn’t like? Any ideas?

I ve been a smoker for 4 years and I quit 6 days ago. Since then I have headaches everyday I feel lightheaded pain on my neck and really dizzi I feel like my brain is shaking inside my head and also that I am about to feel on the ground/floor I feel really tired and cannot deal with it … I used the gum 2mg for 3 days but it hurt my jaw etc… Are my symptoms normal? I went to talk to a neurologist she said that I am experiencing a Whitdrawl of nicotine but it’s been already more than 3days so is it normal or not?

Quit smoking side effects?

I has been 31 hours since my last cig, and I am seriously going INSANE. Last night i couldn’t sleep one bit, I’m already eating more and more, and sometimes I have a horrible upset stomach.
I broke down and I smoked ONCE, I was so disappointed in myself.
What can I do to get rid of these insane cravings??
This may sound silly, but i ALWAYS used to smoke when I was driving and now I pretend to smoke a pen when i drive ha ha.
BTW i started when i was 16 and I am 20 now, I smoked about a half a pack a day.

I quit smoking 3 weeks ago, and every now and then i feel a bit faint. Im not sleeping propering, seem to be awake alot, but am exhausted and constantly tired. I seem hot and clammy, does this last long, is it a smoking side effect?

I was taking Chantix to quit smoking when I had my seizure. I had been smoking 30 cigarettes a day to 2 when my seizure occured. Becuase this drug is so new Just wondering what sort of side effects others have had? Thank you,
I started Chantix in early January. I had my seizure March 17. I know that most often then not they don’t always know until it’s been out for a few years. I was just wondering what others had experienced outside of what was listed. I have already checked the chantix site and it lists nothing about that. I generally don’t ask questions unless I have tried to find out myself. (in this case via the web. )

quit Smoking side effects , help me i cannot concentrate ..?

I used to have a short attention span when i smoked cigarettes , but now its even worse, I cant read two sentences without something else, i failed my practical driving test 5 times on stupid mistakes that i dont do when I am normally driving with a friend.

I quit smoking three weeks ago cold turkey .. !!! i quit before but this never happened before .. i feel empty headed and in between a constant fog . I lost alot of my motivation and my concentration.

The only good thing it seems is that i sleep and wakeup early and that i feel healthier ,, but other than that i AM GOING CRAZY ,, when wil this go away ,, and what can I do to make it better ??
