What would happen if person stop smoking cigarettes for one day?

What would happen if person stop smoking cigarettes for one day? Im trying to get opinions from different areas, because this will act as a survey for “World No Tobacco Day” which is just a 24 hour event to get people from smoking therefore reduce second hand smoke by 4-6%. What are some opinons on this event? If people dont mind please spread the word.

Not sure what your question is. Is it opinion or what would happen to someone that stops for a day? If its opinion i think that non smokers really need to stop with the 2nd hand smoke bs. They need to get a different angle on it. If you drive to work in your car you put more pollution in the air than a person smoking in a day. I think you need to go back to the basics of why a person should quit and maybe focus on support groups to help people stop. If a person chooses to give up smoking for a day nothing would happen other than severe cravings and withdrawl which in return can make a person cranky and raise their blood pressure. I say keep smoking it keeps my taxes low because the minute people quit they will have to get that money from somewhere else. If you did a survey on people over 45 i bet you would find tons of people that grew up in smoking households with no health issues from 2nd hand smoke.

by 12 hours, you are already getting more oxygen. by 24 hours, your anxiety and cravings peak. there are charts online that show you what happens all the way from 20 minutes without a cigarette up to 15 years. just google “benefits of quitting smoking timeline”. i think it would be doable, but ther will always be some people saying they cant. i also think it would help some stronger-willed people quit for good.

    At 20 minutes after quitting:

    Blood pressure decreases
    Pulse rate drops
Body temperature of hands and feet increases.

    At 8 hours:

Carbon monoxide level in blood drops to normal
Oxygen level in blood increases to normal

    At 24 hours:
Chance of a heart attack decreases

Well I just recently started smoking so I’m not exactly addicted. I started smoking Wednesday. & I had my last cigarette yesterday morning. I’m constantly trying to find a cigarette now because I’m basically having a “nicotine offit (or however you spell it). So after you’ve been smoking & you just go a day without smoking you are constantly craving the nicotine basically.
