How can I get my boyfriend to stop smoking?

I met my boyfriend 8 months ago and he didn't smoke at the time, although he had smoked for a long time before that. About 3 months into our relationship he started smoking again daily. He's also a type one diabetic 
any good, creative ways I can get him to stop again? any personal stories? Thanks so much!
I'm strongly against the idea of giving up smoking. so i'll show you a way. in addition, I'll also help your boyfriend with something that will tech him how to deal with such nagging girlfriend who keeps pestering with advises to quit smoking.
don't ask your boyfriend to quit smoking. ask him to try and check if he can stay without smoking. if he does it for one day, do the same trick for th next day. say in addition that he will get the chance to tell stories about how painful it was to stay without smoking. in his process of trying to check if he can live without smoking, he will stop it for a few days at least. if you can do it well, he may quit it altogether.

warn your boy friend that you will not meet him if he continues to smoke. may be for some time he may not smoke in front of you., If you are in Asia, threaten him that you will also start smoking, since women does not smoke here, and if they do carry a big bad tag on them.
Smoking will aggravate his type 1 diabetes and that is just the tip of the iceberg.
Give him a list with all the chemicals in it the go thru each chemical with all their known risks and what other products they use them in.
tell him for every day he doesnt smoke he gets 3 blowjobs the next day. also practice giving him BJs. i know it sounds like im being a dick, but this should work.
don't date smokers. Date us cross country runners. Lots of them are lonely distance runners. they are lean and hot too. and they will never smoke. Take good care of themselves and treat ladies with respect
