OCD problems????????????

I have OCD, and i can’t go anywhere near cigarette smoke unless i shower thoroughly afterwards. If i walk past a person in the street, i make a mental note to find a toilet and wash my fash and try and brush it out of my hair. My Mam smokes and i find it difficult to be close to her. I’m scared that if i’m near cigarette smoke or have it on me, i’ll age quicker. I know i’ve taken it to a point where it’s irrational but i can’t stop, just incase. Is hypnotherapy good to help get rid of OCD? My friends mam specialises in hypnotherapy and i thought i might ask her. I don’t want to go to a doctor, cos i’m scared that if i have OCD on my medical records it would stop me from getting jobs in care in the future.

It hasn’t always been cigarette smoke, it’s come in phases. I used to be worried that if i sat on a seat that a boy had previously sat on, i might get pregnant. Now, see i know this is next to impossible as it’s extremely unlikely that there would be any sperm on the seat, let alone it have the ability to make it’s way through my clothes, but i still wouldn’t sit there.
I had religious OCD, where i’d have to pray a certain amount of times a day, in a certain way or i might be seen as ungrateful for what i’ve been given and have it taken away.
I always had a fear that the sun would age me so i wore sun cream ever day, no matter what the weather for several months. It’s wierd i know, but i just couldn’t stop. And as soon as one phase ends, another begins

    Ask your doctor about it. If they suspect you have OCD they will direct you to a specialist who can help you! Having OCD can be a crippling disorder and there is no shame in getting help for it.

    Do the SMART and right thing, get help. If you get help, think about it, you’ll be able to live life without those worries, and the help won’t be on your record.. and if it is, trust me it won’t prevent you from getting jobs.
    Also cognitive behavioural therapy is extremely helpful, look into that.
