A lot of people, Including my self would absolutely love to belive quitting was as easy as a “Hypnotherapist” telling you your getting sleepy, and some finger snapping… But no.

As it comes down to it, it really is a matter of will power.

Smoking a pack a day? Start taking three smokes out of each pack. throw them away.

Then go to four by the next week, then 5, and so on..

It’s not guaranteed or anything, but might be worth a shot..

    Good luck

I have a friend that actually did use hypnosis to stop smoking and it worked for her. I’m not sure if it was a mind over matter thing or what ,but she did stop smoking.

Wow, this interesting. I’m not a smoker, but I wonder if it really works. It would be great to read success stories of this procedure! Very interesting article.

I’ve heard that hypnosis can be effective for all kinds of addictions – from nicotine to weight loss. I would definitely give it a shot!

My mom tried hypnotherapy after being a smoker for 30+ years and it has worked for her.

I’m not too sure, but do as much research as possible (as you’re doing now) And keep asking around too.

It is worth it to look into it. It is essential to explore all of your options, your health is priceless.

  • David says:

Hypnosis can create results for quitting smoking with hypnosis.

  • Josh says:

It can work, if the hypnotist is qualified and you’re a good candidate. The only way to tell is to try it. I think the trick of stopping is to keep trying different approaches until you find the one that works for you.

I know one person who has tried it, with success. Good luck

You can always give it a go. What works for one may not for the other.

  • Hustle Mama says:

I’ve never heard of that before but maybe you should give it a try.

I feel that if someone wants something bad enough they will summon up the courage and will power to just do it. I have a next door neighbor that was smoking like it was nobodies business and out of the blue she stopped cold turkey… no patches and certainly no hypnosis. I think this can be done by reducing the amount of cigarettes that you are smoking on a daily basis and gradually ween off of them.

Anything to quit smoking is worth looking into. Cigarettes are poison. Good luck with kicking your habit.

  • Fay S says:

yes it is worth it I had this done on the 6/8/09 and happy to say that I have not had a cigarette since and had 1 session with Lorna . I am not saying that I dont have cravings yes I do but each day is less and less and that is a small price to pay for my life. I thank Lorna every day and praise myself for finally taking the plunge,. If I had known it would be this easy I would have had it done years ago. i am talking about someone who has smoked for 40 yrs plus and smoked 50 cigs in a 24-28 hr period so if I can do it anyone can. but be positive and want to do it too Good luck you wont regret it F

I say keep trying new things until something works!

  • soapstarra says:

It definitely doesn’t hurt to try! Trying is better than doing nothing. What works for one person may not work for another but it’s great that you are looking into alternative options.

  • Ocean says:

As far as I know, it’s one of those things that’s different for everyone. It might work, it might not – if you can afford it, it might be worth a shot.

You could try these instead, though, and save some money: http://greensmoke.com/4045.html

It gets rid of the health risks, but it doesn’t really get rid of the addiction because you’re still getting the nicotine. But it’ll save your health and save your money (up to 75% of what you currently spend on cigarettes).
