I am a therapist, and I used to work in a facility that provided hynotherapy for smoking. While I am not trained in that, I can say that they would do followups on the clients 3 months, 6 months, and 1 year later. If I remember correctly, at 1 year later, clients at that facility were about 60% successful in remaining cigarette free, so I guess you can draw your own conclusions about whether it helped them.
It has been my experience that it only works if you really believe that it will. A group of 8 of my family and friends tried it and it did not work for any of us. And at 40 bucks each the therapist will tell you that they refund your money if you don’t quit I have found that is untrue also.
