What is snus? My boyfriend trying to stop smoking and is turning to that, Help?

Okay my boyfriend
is going to stop smoking and turning to snus
I’ve never heard of this
can some please explain what it is
how bad it is for you
if it’s worse then smoking
and all that stuff…..

I never heard of snus, but I’ve heard of snuff.
I also heard it’s deadly. Not much better then smoking.
It’s a Swedish form of smokeless tobacco. It is like Skoal but is in pouches and is usually placed between the upper lip and the gum, thus not causing the person to need to spit like with snuff or other smokeless tobacco products.
Snus is snuff in pouches. The most popular brand now is made from Camel and it requires no spitting. It comes in different flavors too. Like cigarretes it is addictive and harmful. Instead of lung cancer you can easily get oral cancer from Snus and that stuff in NASTAY. Both cigarretes, snus, and snuff are bad for you. Have him buy some nicotine gum.
No, it is not as bad as smoking, although it’s still bad for you. I’d encourage him. But I’d also ask him whether he’s considered non-tobacco forms of nicotine, e.g., the Commit lozenges. Same buzz without the cancer risk.
