Quitting cold turkey can be quite tough. My sister did that when she first got pregnant. Boy was that fun! :/

If you get an urge to go smoke, immediately busy your mind with something else. You could even do that classic/cliché thing and carry a pack of gun with you, and chew a piece when you get an urge for a cigarette. It’s just important that you ignore all urges to do so.

You could maybe get some moral support from friends and family.

Well shane i have stopped smoking cold turkey about 4 months ago and have not touched a cig since. So let me tell you it can be done and I’ ve been smoking since 20, I am 35 now so 15 years Its difficult but you can do it though. I have 1 very important suggestion for you go to smokersblog.org/2010/10/common-quitting-smoking-side-effects/ and read the side effect of quitting smoking that why you will be better prepared when things start to happen to your body and mind, and your success will increase, trust me I wish someone had told me about this before I quit cold turkey as you did. If i can after 15 years so can you.

First of all, congratulations. Seriously, getting to where you are now, wanting to quit, is a big deal. Cold turkey doesn’t work for a lot of people but it can work. I’d say its very important to prepare yourself for the quit by learning as much as you can through services like smoking cessation websites, forums, sites like http://quitjuice.com etc. Then mentally prepare yourself for the withdrawals. It helped me to tell myself that its ok to suffer temporarily until the withdrawals subside. That way when i was feeling the pain, sometimes just psychological, I could choose to go through it instead of trying to escape them by smoking. After a week or so you’ll feel better. Set a quit date, get some friends to hold you to it, and just do it. If you mess up, don’t give up just keep at it. Like learning to ride a bike, most people fall a few times before succeeding.

Trust me, I know how hard it can be when you’re smoking and you want to stop.

There are several techniques you can use, such as nicotine patches or drugs.

Personally, I finally stopped smoking thanks to a new technology called binaural beats. I bought the pack at http://www.brainwavepowerpack.com and stopped smoking within a week! Best decision in my life!

Quitting smoking cigarettes is among the hardest things that can occur in your life, if you’re a cigarette smoker. You’ll find unwanted side effects to stopping smoking this includes however, not limited to sleeplessness, mouth ulcers, decrease in desire for food plus more. The best recommendation I got with regard to stopping smoking was to pick a date and just do it. In the event you genuinely wish to stop, you will quit. Nicotine is still around within the body for 3 days from then on it is just the mental habit you need to overcome. You should start to feel much better after a couple of weeks and take each day as it occurs. Try to remember, should you light up just one cigarette it doesn’t mean you have failed, it is just a minute blip. All the best Shane. It’s hard.

It is surprising what a bing search will turn up at times. Coincidentally just stumbled upon this blog by accident basically. Thankyou.
