how can i help my 15 yo son to stop smoking pot?

he’s my 3rd of 5 children. he lives in a nice small town in mexico. i live in houston. he wants to stop smoking, but will occasionally smoke again. smoking pot’s not terrible, but i believe it’s very unhealthy for a young persons developement. what are the best steps towards helping my son stay away from pot.

if u have health insurance call the help line and ask the nurse on there. if not go to webmd.com and talk to them. i don’t know much about pot but i do about quitting. quitting means stopping entirely not on again off again. u r not close (distance wise) to really help him. if u could get him into the usa dn keep him at your place u would have a better chance he would be away from friends/other users and the need to get high. other than that there is not much u can do other than being supportive long distance. good luck

How can you make someone quit doing something in another country why doesnt he live with you?
The ultimate decision lies upon your son. Unfortunately he is the only one that can get him to stop smoking. I know it is heart breaking my sister did it for a long time, even as much as I tried it didn’t work. He has to figure out how it is impacting his life in a negative way and be willing to change for it. He has to want help. And more often than not people who smoke pot think there is no problem there is only to things you can do let him know that you love him and you are their for him and how it plays a negative role in your life.
i would call the school and have the nurse talk to him!
