Edmonton parents speak out about asthma attack that claimed their son
On his 25th birthday, Kai Prefontaine’s mom and aunt held his lifeless body in their arms and sang the birthday song. Later that day, July 15, he was taken off life support. A severe asthma attack had turned what should have been a day of celebration into one of mourning for the Edmonton family.
