Can someone help me with a stop smoking plan?

Any ideas on a cheaper way to try to stop smoking. All medicines to help are overly priced!

okay so this supposedly worked for someone I know. count out how many smokes you have in a day then take one away and put the rest in an old, empty pack or a cigarette case or what ever. Those are your cigarettes for the day (1 less than what you usually smoke). Do not smoke anything that isn’t in your “pack”! Smoke this amount of cigarettes everyday for one week then take one more away and for the next week smoke that amount everyday (2 less than what you are smoking now), the week after take one more away, etc, etc.. it may take awhile if you smoke a lot and maybe when you get down really low you may need to take more than a week at each level but it should work because you are giving yourself enough time to get used to one less cigarette before you take another one away (less of a shock to your system). Good luck!

The idea of you thinking to stop smoking is the beginning of the plan…

And medicines that are meant to help stop don’t work.
    I tried them all.
The only thing that finally worked for me, and, I should have the world record for the number of times I tried to stop smoking; is to never give up trying to stop smoking.
    Just don’t quit trying.
The time I was successful, I wasn’t using any of the prescribed ‘aid’s to help.
    Just quit.
Then when you’ve had a weak moment and smoked,
    Just quit.
    and quit
    and quit
and, I’ll tell you a secret! You will not miss it! That’s the secret that is not being told! You won’t miss it!
I thought of the things I did when I smoked; drive my truck, take a break and get a cup of hot coffee, just couldn’t even think about that.
    Now, guess what?
I drive my truck and don’t even think about smoking.
I take a break with my hot coffee and don’t even think about lighting up.
    Is that great or what?
I smoked for many years. And I smoked a lot.
Now, I don’t even think about it til I see someone like you who really wants to quit.
    So, quit
    and quit
    and quit.
    thanks

    Hi Tiffany

Sorry to hear you’re having problems getting a quit-smoking routine together; there are a lot of options to choose from, and they actually range from completely free to moderately expensive – however, you have to also take note that you get what you pay for, and if you’re going to do it cold turkey with no assistance, you’re going to have to deal with the symptoms of withdrawal. I’m not discouraging you from doing cold turkey, but that’s the reality of it. There are other options as well; hypnotherapy, acupuncture, herbal medicines (I don’t put any faith in that lol), and then some of the more expensive ones ranging from patches to electronic cigarettes to prescription drugs – a lot to mull over. If you want more advice on each of these methods, there’s a site I recommend to those who are dedicated to quitting; it’s http://smokefreeme.info/ Read through the different options you have, and decide what’s best for you; no matter what route you choose, I wish you the best of luck in your campaign. :)
