Any ideas on how to help friends who have to stop smoking?
Our place of work was told Thursday that smoking no longer allowed on campus as of the 1st and 3/4 of the staff smoke. They are soooo going to be a bunch of b++*hes and to keep me sane, I want to help make it easier for them (and me!)

Give them some crack…it should keep their mind off of weed
just be as supportive of their decision to quit as possible.
They really should get as much encouragement and support as possible. Also, I’d like to recommend they get counseling to help them with this matter. Sure, it might be expensive, but think about all the good PR something like this could generate.
My heart goes out to you! Our hospital campus went smoke-free years ago. No one quit smoking, on break and lunch, they just hop in their cars and go to the end of the driveway and puff away! Administration just looks the other way.
As for helping your friends, have hard candy and gum handy to offer them when they get the urge. If I were hooked on cigarettes and had to quit, I think I would try that Chantix. That sounds like it might work.
Have the powers that be considered offering a support program for the smokers?
I went to a lecture once about smoking. The lecturer said that cigarettes are a person’s best friend and it is a worse addiction than over-eating….I can believe that! Wishing you luck in your new challenge!
chewing gum or life savers candy.
Yes but I don’t think they want to try my method, it took me a open heart, dying for over four minutes and in a coma for a month. And I did stop for six months. But this is not a reconmended way of during it. And in the long run it still did not work for me, cause I’m still one of them smokers no one seems to like. But I think by making the campus clear of smoking well help them out in the long run. The best you can do, is not be little them for smoking.
take care

squirt a bottle of water on them every time they pick a smoke up.
Well, they could try the brand new product -electronic cigar for free if order at

(even the shipping for free trial is free within us). They would be able to smoke anywhere without putting health on risk plus they would save thousands.
Tell them to smoke across the street. A lot of the people who work for smoke free employers here park their cars along the street and go sit in them at break time to smoke.
Smoking is an addiction, they have to be the ones who want to quit, the employer is trying to show the public that smoking is a health hazard. Good for them!
I had a friend that smoked for over 20 years..and she quit , so proud of her and all what she wanted is her friends support and encouragement..she replaced her cravings with hard candy that seemed to help her…
