Inspiration and motivation to stop smoking…?
I've quit and started up again many times, I think about 7/8 times in total. I tried the patches/gum but I really think it's down to willpower in the end, so I'd prefer not to use stopping smoking aids anymore. the problem is my life isn't great at the moment, the main problem is I hate my job and want to leave but finding it really hard to find creative work that I studied. I know there's always an excuse though…If anyone has any advice or experience of this I'd really appreciate hearing about it. Thanks
Drink fizzy orange, it flushes out the nicotine in your body quicker. Im not sure how it works but it does
good luck!
Get something also to do in your hands, like a stress ball or your bosses neck!
Try pro-plus (caffeine pills) it gives you the same buzz as a cig without having to go outside
helps me
So let me get this strait, you have failed at quitting 7 out of 8 times, if that 1/8 wasn't your last time then it doesn't really count and you should have 8/8 times. And if that one was the last time then you don't really need the inspiration.
I'm not a smoker – but both my parents were – my mum got through by saying every day – I'm not going to smoke today – I might have one tommorrow – but not today. It did work for her and I think because my dad did it at the same time – they supported each other – and they've stayed smoke free since. maybe it would help if you could find a support group – it would be a way of meeting other people too – and perhaps it will help lead to better things. all the best and I truly hope you make it!
being supremely fit will help. join a gym.
Hiya.
Well I have just finished writing my assignment on an action plan to help stop smoking and I think I have some ideas that may help.
Beginning to stop smoking is difficult and you always nearly having some sort of cravings within the "experience". What I have researched and found out is that if you take like your favorite snack out, lollies work best and healthy foods such as Fruity Flapjacks etc, the point is having some sort of "distraction" in your bag will help you. Whenever you want to reach for a cig simply reach for a lolly, flapjack, grapes etc.
I hope this helps you in someway.
Cheer up and smile because life is to short to be sad.
Good luck honey.

i do feel for you, i gave up 3 years ago, the hardest thing i have ever done, but boy am i Glad.i smoked for 35 years, the only thing that did it for me was i felt so ill coughing and spluttering. don't get me wrong i loved the weed, and always found excuses not to stop….when you are ready you will stop, whether its for your health wealth or because you don't want to smell like an old ash tray anymore with bad breath…..your choice pet, its a free country!
heaps and heaps of luck, really hope you can do it!x

Oddly enough, a chance sentence I either overheard or read somewhere was the key to my success at quitting.
The sentence is this:
"the minute I stop putting nicotine and tar into my lungs, the damage begins to reverse itself. It's not too late."
I hope it brings you as much success in your journey as it did me. I smoked 1-½ packs a day for eleven years. Now, almost 30 years later, I have healthy lungs and can breathe easy.
