Why can you get ill after you quit smoking?
I myself don’t smoke but i know of certain people who have given up smoking can get ill not long afterwards and then when they have taken up smoking again, the illnesses seem to go away. Im a just interested as to why this happens and if there is any scientific reason as to why this happens.
It seems that it isn’t a wise decision to make to take up smoking again just to stop getting ill.
Has anyone experianced something similar and what can you do to help prevent the illnesses while not taking up smoking again?
Thanks,
Thanks,

Nicotine is just about the most addictive substance known to medical science. If a person quits cold turkey, they will go through withdrawals for several days. I don’t think it can be avoided.
As for helping to lessen the effects, nicotine gum should be useful. I’m a smoker, and the gum got me through two 14-hour flights to and from Australia without me going bonkers.
I hope this helps.
