What is a good med that will help to quit smoking?
My mom was diagnosed with COPD, and she still smokes. The doctor told her she needs to stop, but didnt try to help her any further. I told her i would quit with her, so anything would be good.
My mom is on many different meds, so we need something that wont interfere with them.
They are : Prednisone, Albuterol, Lisinopril, Spirivia, and Ventolin.
Any help is very much appericiated, thank you.

Meds very seldom work and can be dangerous. There is a laser they do now that works %100 percent. My husband and his sister smoked for over 30 yrs, they did the laser and both have been smoke free for 3 years so far. They take a laser (painless) and touch parts of your hands and ears. It sounds nuts but it works. It costs about $100 but it works. He had it done in Oklahoma City. There are places around the US that do it.
Welbutrin is a great one. It has alot less side effects thatn Chantex.
I tried loads of things, different nicotine replacement therapies. I tried to quit a few times but picked up on the cigs again. Then I read a book called “The Easy Way to Quit Smoking” by Allen Carr.
Its very inspirational, its worth a shot you can buy it over here (UK) on Amazon for about £7, not much more than a packet of fags.
Hope your mom can quit soon, I don`t think NRT`s would effect your mom`s medications but your doctor should be advising her on this and giving support.
