What are some good ways to help me quit smoking?

I’m seriously thinking about quitting and I’d like to know of some tips and tricks that would make it a little bit more easier on me.

Also, Do you know of any good websites or help numbers that would help me out with quitting?

Thank You!

I quit a month ago….and while i still want a cigarette at times the cravings aren’t there anymore…It’s more psychological.

First off you have to REALLY WANT to quit…if you don’t really want to quit then no matter what you do you’ll still want to smoke…

    here is what I did….

I quit cold turkey….I see no use for replacement therapy…Though I would recommend welbuterin (SP?) or something like that because I became sorta depressed….

I read the allen carr book “Easy way to stop smoking” it’s a really good book and puts things in perspective.

I also looked up every bit of research i could on smoking…like whats in it, what it does to people…I looked at pictures of people with cancer and black lungs…morbid yes, but trust me it helps!

http://www.whyquit.com is a very good website…they don’t really sugar coat anything and while you are quitting you don’t need ANYTHING to be sugar coated….

I slipped up and smoked a cig 3 weeks into my quit and it was so disgusting! it made me dizzy and sick to my stomach…so if you really want to quit just do it cold turkey or like i said you could ask your doctor for wellbuterin or something like that…

GOOD LUCK!!! it’s the best decision you’ll ever make!
