Quit smoking, how long will it take to….?
I smoked cigarettes for 10 years, about a pack a day, 5-6 packs a week. Its still hard to breathe when I play sports, even walk up steps. I do not plan on going back to cigarettes!! Does anyone know how long it will take for my lungs to fully recover? Any articles or stories you would like to share would help. Thanks!

Improvement after 72 hours – real benefits can take 3-6 months. See source for interactive site on the benefits and time frames.
A lot of it will depend on how much damage you have done to your lungs. I have heard that it takes the same amount of time to heal that you smoked…but in my case, after 30 years of smoking, it took me about 4 years to get to the point where i could take a walk again. i wish i had never started
….whatever you do, dont go back to them. regular light exercise daily will help to strengthen them to heal faster
dont worry about long term improvement you put pressure on yourself-Just think another day smoke free my lungs are loving it
it takes about eight years for the lungs to recover
I was a smoker for 25 years and I had quit smoking for over six times ,but never really quit smoking before.Just after I read that quit smoking program, I realized how easy quitting smoking was.I am a non-smoker now! I highly recommend this program to you.It really works. You can check out http://quit-smoking-in-3-hours.info
