Quit Smoking and Now I need to drop a few pounds?
I quit smoking almost a yr ago and now Ive turned to food I guess just out of oral fixation habit, idk. Mind over matter is not working for me and here comes the weight. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks

green coffee its speeds up ur metabolism and doesn’t make u hungry i’ve been on it for almost a week and i eat 2 meals a day healthy of coarse and go for a nightly walk. a friend of mine dropped 2 dress sizes in a month and another which she was a big person dropped 16kg in 3 months so it works. also eating small helps shrink ur stomach my stomach has really shrunk i cant eat as much as my friends or as i use to i can’t finish a pie even if i’m fully hungry but i do get hungry every 2-3 hrs so an apple here and there is good… good luck

That’s so common – and it might not be "oral fixation" only – the lack of nicotine ( a stimulant) might also be contributing to weight gain as well.Given that nicotine is also a kind of relaxant, you might well turn to food to get a similar sense of well-being. I don’t know of anything else in medicine/nature that has that same one-two, speed up/slow down effect!
OK: chew gum; get your thyroid tested (low thyroid function is a common reason for weight gain), go heavy on soup or salad as a first course for any meal; get all the exercise you can stand; drink a lot of fluid; skip second helpings and starches except on weekends (then you won’t feel impossibly deprived); cut out sodas and fruit juices (even "diet" ones);see if you can cut your coffee drinking in half; keep a log of what and how much you really eat. If things get out of control, take a bite of cat/dog food for every piece of chocolate you permit yourself. That has a way of curing a sweet tooth!
