My doctor prescribed me Chantix to help me quit smoking.?

I WAS WONDERING HOW OTHERS EXPERIENCE WAS TAKING THIS MEDICATION.I READ SOME SCARY STUFF ON LINE ABOUT THIS MEDICINE NOW I’M NOT SURE IF I WANT TO TAKE IT .

Well, my mum is taking ‘Champix’, im not sure wether were on the same page…
but, it says that you start to get quite moody and feel sick for the first two weeks, but it goes away soon. It is very effective, my doctor takes it.

I have many patients that get on Chantix and they have done great with it. You did get the Chantix starting pack right? As long as you take it the way it’s prescribed it should be fine. The starting pack lets you wean your way up to the normal strength and after that you will be on a continuing pack. Just remember to take it consistently. Don’t miss any days and don’t miss your refills. Be fully committed if you’re going to take it. I’m also assuming your doctor knew any other medications you may be on and your overall health condition right? As long as he did, I wouldn’t worry too much of the side effects and try it
I’ve heard good and bad. If I were you I’d try Wellbuterin (don’t know if I spelled that right) But yeah try that first it worked great for me and my dad.
