Cold turkey is definitely the way to go. It’s tough at first: you lash out at people for no reason, you’re tired, you get anxious easily… but when these things happen, you just have to tell yourself that the reason you feel this way is because you quit. It will be worth it in the end… you know, when you don’t have lung cancer and all… :)

Yes. It’s how I quit in ’75. You have to want to do it, then have the self-discipline to stay with it.

The successful ones do it by cutting back gradually.
Example. If you smoke 20. Cut to 17 for a week, then to 15, then 12 and so until you reach 0. Those who quit cold turkey usually end up smoking again, because they need one so bad, that one doesn’t do it. They end smoking all over again.

Stopping smoking is a pretty simple thing to do… in principle. Maybe because of it sounding so easy it catches people off guard and ultimately makes it much more difficult to quit.

There are a lot of products out there that can help you to stop smoking. Which is best for you depends on many factors and ultimately the only person that knows which is best for you is you.

The best thing to do when you are looking to stop smoking is to find out what options you have, and then decide which sounds best for you.

Here’s a website that lists the different things that are out there to help you stop smoking.

congratulations! I have been cigarette free since April 4th of this year after thirty years. COLD TURKEY! A small stroke made a believer out of me. Hang in there for that first 72 hours and you are half way home! Grab a piece of dark chocolate when the cravings get too bad, take a walk, sit in the tub, take a nap, munch of grapes, carrot sticks, popcorn, chew gum..all these things will help you. Sure there is some anxiety but the worst of it will pass after the nicotine is out of your system. Then you will tackle the oral fixation, physiological aspect of it. Go on line and talk to others who have quit..it really, really helped me. Hang in there, remember why you are quitting. You will be proud, smell better, sleep better and wow, the money you will save! I was just thinking this morning…”man, I do not have to pick up a pack at the store anymore”..cha ching! money in my pocket. Good luck.

    Megan Clafford is a spammer.
    Green Smoke is a scam
$129 for the cheapest e-cigarettes on the market?
They have no battery life and the entire kit is crap.
You can’t buy this at 7-11 that is how bad these are.
You want a real e-cigarette check them out on Google do not buy from from Green Smoke or Smoke Free or whatever scam site they come up with this week.

    Yes and no.

It is the cleanest way to get off but the hardest psychologically to deal with. I used a nicotine patch and had a severe reaction to it. Heart was beating out of my chest, had to go to the ER to get the heart rate down. I basically suffered every severe nicotine withdrawl symptom and had a terrible 3 days dealing with it. Every nicotine replacement/ nicotine alternative like the prescription drugs have their side effects, and i would just talk to your doctor first. I also tried cutting down before and it didnt really do the trick.

I know it may sound crazy but I’ve found something that I believe can really work for you. My father was been smoking for most of his life and has a problem ALWAYS with just quiting cold turkey. There is this brand new technique called “Hypnotherapy”. You are probably wondering what that is, well its exactly what it says in the name, hypnosis. Now there are different methods I’ve also seen but this one has a HIGH success rate! You should check it out! I know I will send my dad straight to this website! Let me know what you think, good luck!
