if i quit smoking now, will i gain weight?

ive been smoking for like mabey a month and a half. and i have mabey 2-4 cigarettes a day. and on weekends i dont smoke. i guess you can say that im addicted. i dont think ill have a craving though. i olny crave when im depressed. i want to stop because i heard u gain weight. but if i quit now will i gain weight? and if so. is there any way not to gain weight?

if you have only been smoking for a month you won’t change anything. you only gain weight cause you will eat more. that is something that can be controlled.

in your case stop now because smoking is very hard to stop when your hooked.

You won’t necessarily gain weight cause people who quit smoking tend to eat more as an alternative to smoking so um trying chewing gum that might help you.

Quitting smoking does not make you gain weight. The only way you’d gain weight is if you replace your smoking addiction with food.
