I am trying to help some friends quit smoking, is there a term for being addicted to nicotine?

Alcohol has one, does nicotine have a name for being addicted?

i dont kno but it really isn’t that hard if you keep busy n after like 5 days u wont want one i quit cold turkey its called will power!!!!

You mean like, “smokaholic”? I don’t think so, but it’s an addiction, nevertheless. Maybe some day there will be a name for a smoking cessation organization, like “Smokers Anonymous”! In the meantime, I think it’s very nice of you to help your friends quit this habit. Good luck!
