Your doctor or a pharmacist are the best people to ask. They can work with you over time to help you make it through.

There are plenty of options over the counter, as well as prescriptions. Some of these prescriptions are designed to help you not want to smoke as much. But these prescriptions must still be used with a plan and plenty of will power just as with the patch or gum.

The first step is deciding that you want to quit. The second step to to set a date about a week or so out. Setting a date and marking your calendar will help keep you from putting it off. If you decide to use the patch or gum, remember that these are designed for you to start at the higher strength and gradually move down until you don’t need them anymore.

Finally, remember to reward yourself for every step of the process! Spend some of your money saved on something special – just try to avoid food rewards since you will probably gain weight in the process of quitting.

For coupons and tons more info, you can call 1-800-QUIT-NOW toll free. Hope this helps!

    Try this method.

    1st Week-2 per day
    2nd Week-1 per day
    3rd Week-3 for the week
    4th Week-2 for the week
    5th Week-1 for the week
    6th Week-None at all!!

As you know, habits are just things that are hard to stop. But if you really push yourself, you will stop! You want to quit smoking, right? Well push yourself. This is going to help you if you stick to it.

Try not bringing your cigarettes everywhere, on purpose! “Forget” them at home when you go out somewhere where you would normally smoke. If you are going to light one, and have a smoke, think about it first…Do you want to get lung cancer? Kill yourself by doing this? Do you want to have bad teeth from this? No, you don’t. So next time that you pull out a cigarette, just think about if it’s a good idea. You can continue smoking for a bit, but cut down the amount of cigarettes you are using, and you will eventually get over the habit! :)

    Good Luck! Hope this helps!!

If you’ve smoked commercial brand cigarettes than not only are you getting the nicotine you’re also getting the thousands of chemicals they intoduce into the tobacco when they process it. Withdrawal from these chemicals can be just as bad as withdrawing from nicotine.

What I did was switch to a naturally processed cigarette that didn’t have all of the added chemicals. I did that for about a month. That way I didn’t have to withdraw form both the nicotine and the chemicals. It definitely made it easier for me.
