i’m a smoker. i was a smoker before i had my son. the day i found out i was preg. i quit. i didn’t want my child to be sick or anything like that. it was really really hard but i quit on the spot. the only thing on my mind was the health of my unborn child. i know how hard it is but u should think of ur child first. that’s the way it’s going to be the rest of ur life too.

I quit when I was about 7 weeks, right after I found out. I was in complete shock at first so I really didnt “think” I needed to, but I was only smoking 1 or 2 a day. Then after a few days my boyfriend hid them all from me and took my secret pack away. It really was the easiest thing once they werent in front of my face. He still smokes but not around me and it was never really hard, but I had really bad morning sickness and that helped, lol. If you need to take it slow then do that, talk with your Dr. The added stress from you quitting is usually worse than the few smokes.

I had just bought a carton the day I bought the pregnancy test, lol!

I quit the day the test said positive, on 4/2/08. It was easy for my because knowing a child was growing inside of me was all I needed to know. I was able to quit right away with my first too. It was not starting up after I was done breastfeeding that was hard. Hopefully this time I wont start again!! Good luck.

My Dr. told me not to quit. Quitting causes stress and will harm the baby. So I cut back to 5-7 a day. The result. 3 pregnancies, 3 big and healthy babies. All because I listened to my Dr. His advice benefited my children.
