How do you assist someone to quit smoking without offending them?

Also, which is a better aid to help them stop. Does the nicotine patch do well or not?

1. Don’t smoke in front of them.
2. Don’t suggest going places where others will be smoking.
3. Tell them the patch can be very successful.
Tell them the consequences of it(lung cancer, emphysema). Tell them it has no benefits at all. Only damages your health. I don’t know about the nicotine patch, it probably wouldn’t work. The best way to hold them accountable and tell them to use their own willpower. It will work.
