How can laser technology be used to help you quit smoking?

The commercial says it’s more effective than gum or patch. If it can help you stop smoking, could it help you stop gambling?

the only way i can see it helping is to burn your mouth and nose shut
laser cannot help in either case
maybe they burn you eyes long enough so you cannt see
It’s really just a lightsaber that they use to chop off your index and middle finger (or thumb if you’re black{nobody get offended I’m not being (completely)serious})
I don’t know about this particular commercial, but any acupuncturist practising laser therapy should be able to help. the laser is used on the acupuncture points instead of needles.
it burns out your eyes so you cannot find your smokes. No.. Really..
Sounds like just another scam to me.
