How can i help my ex bf to quit smoking, drinking, and stop with his adiction.?

I tried to tell him over and over but he is getting worser everytime. and he made a promise to changed but he never did.

telling him not to do it is just going to make him want to do it more. he has to change himself. threaten to break up with him. ask him whats more important. you or his addiction. if he tells you his addiction then get over him. tuff love.
Is this really your business? Yes, I get that you care very much about him and you would feel so irresponsible and guilty if you just left the guy formerly known as your boyfriend alone when he has so many problems! It’s not your job to fix him, and it’s kind of insulting towards him for you to think that you even could.
Only he can fix himself. If you really need a part in his life, then it should be as a friend who will support him no matter what he chooses, and who will be there if he ever wants to change.
He is an ex. Move on, let it be someone elses problem. You have already tried to help him, you have done your good deed. He is not interested.
use chewing gum to keep him away from smoking..
make it as a habit.
use medicine from good doctors to stop drinking.
Convince him to quit and make him commit to quit. Tell him to help himself because no one else can.
Give him water or gum if ever he wants to smoke. Or have a quit smoking aid that will help him quit faster.

Then he isn’t going to. The only thing that will snap him out of it is if something bad happens, like he gets thrown in jail for driving drunk.
