How can I help my boyfriend quit smoking pot?

I know a lot of other people have asked this question, but the difference is that he wants to quit. We’re both 16. He’s tried to quit multiple times and I quit about a month ago. He says he doesn’t want to keep doing it because it makes me sad and he’s getting a really bad memory. However, every time he tries his friends always force him to and then he starts again. How can I help him quit?

He needs some new friends, or he needs a backbone.
There is no pill that will fix this.
He needs to get new friends. My brother does that stuff and wants to quit but cant because he has bad friends who do that which will not help him quit
