Helping friend quit smoking, how to stop nagging and start helping?

There has got to be something I can do or say to help. It is too painful to not say anything. Any advice please?

drive your friend to the doctor for a prescription of Chantix & then drive your friend to the pharmacy to pick it up.

Just remember that quitting smoking is a tough habit to break. Your friend definitely needs to quit, but he/she will have to decide they are ready for themselves before they will stick to it. Try to just lead them without pressing the issue repeatedly.

One thing that can be very helpful is pre-planning the quitting process. Try to help your friend come up with ideas and things they can turn to when they are having cravings (things like gum, listening to music, etc) to help them get their mind off of wanting to smoke.

Honestly, this is your friend’s decision, not yours. He/she has access to the same information you do.
