Do you think the pressure of being POTUS will help or hurt Obama’s chances to quit smoking?

He’s on an off.
President
Of
The
United
States

or POTUS for Bob
Riphimto- it’s a simple question…in a simple form…on a simple political forum…not every question has to be about national security, nor is it pointed.

  • Bob B says:

POTUS? explain or shut up. Got it?

He is at least 3/64ths black which means if you ever say anything negative about him then you are racist. Even if he doesn’t take a shower for 14 months and you say he’s stinky, your only motivation is racism. Do you follow? Yeah. Praise him and kiss his feet or you will be labeled.

BTW, Stew’s info is incorrect. Heroine is easier to give up than nicotine- its a fact.

Thx BOO ;) we should have coffee sometime… or at least sex

Ruth- I am a substance abuse counselor, and nicotine IS more addictive than heroine(per the lab rat studies.) But I don’t think you’re stupid. I was just hoping for some coffee ;)

  • Stew S says:

Smoking is something very difficult to give up. I have heard it is about as addicting as Heroine.

    Who gives a shit.

  • Poohcat1 says:

He will likely smoke more than before….or quit completely at the advice of the White House physician. I know if it were me, I would be a four packs a day.

  • Boo says:

it will hurt him big time. He’s going to get religion real quick like and he is not even ready for it.

to Bob B POTUS is President OF THE United Staes

  • Oft Suspended says:

Due to the pressures of the office, Obama will use more cocaine in the White House.

  • RipHimToShreds says:

this is a very important matter to discuss. it may be vital to our national security.

  • Stephee says:

The world is full of people like that.
    Who cares?

  • Advancing says:

Why would he want to quit? It’s legal, and it is a personal decision. Why don’t liberals attack abortion as strongly as they attack smoking?

  • ruth says:

LOL Bob B. I never know if he’s serious or joking, but he likes to call me stupid.

My fingers are crossed he goes up to at least 2 packs per day, since that’s what he’s got me up to this past week. Maybe it’s the one thing he won’t tax.

  • tribeca_belle says:

The pressure of the job could cause a reformed smoker to start smoking again or a smoker to smoke more. I think Obama however realizes that his every move is under scrutiny and smoking is in heavy disfavor these days so he may just have to not smoke at all.

  • pastor of muppets says:

could go either way really. could provide him with the motivation he needs to quit, or he might smoke more because of the pressure.

As long as he does a good job, I couldn’t possibly care less how much he does or doesn’t smoke.

  • tweety bird says:

Gee Bob B, no reason to get hostile. Why on earth did you have to throw the damned race card into this question. No where did mbush40 even HINT at race. Seems like you are judging, counselor, and jumping the gun. Touchy, much?

  • Eyeswideopen says:

He’ll probably be the first president to give the state of the union address with a Kool Filter King hanging from the corner of his blue lipped mouth.

  • Sophie says:

He picked a bad time to quit smoking.

  • downwithChrist says:

guy above ,You are obsessed with Obama- You need to quit. I personally dont’ think a President should be smoking.

  • sansan1256 says:

Forget the smoking. This crap as it is will drive one to drink and we don’t want a drunk driver on this road.

  • Dinah says:

Hurt his chances, if stress in everyday life everywhere else is any indication. But then I haven’t looked at any figures on quitting.

  • Joshua H says:

Dunno, it’s a strong motive, but he’s under a lot of pressure and has to perform every day, and having quit myself I know that it’s virtually impossible when you’re under stress and that it impairs your performance/makes you bark at people.
