Can anyone recommend a supplement that helps you quit smoking?
I don’t want to consume the chemicals in the products that are available on the market today. I eat healthy, am getting into the exercise routine but I need to quit and it’s difficult trying cold turkey.

The two things which helped me kick the habit many years ago ,were vitamin c drinks & believe it or believe it not , cleaning my teeth a lot. Somehow when my mouth felt clean & fresh I didn’t want to contaminate it by smoking stinking cigarettes.

I had a lot of luck with the patch. My craving was particularly bad in the morning (coffee and a smoke), and the patch helped.
A neighbour of mine quit via hypnosis, but this assumes you are capable of being hypnotized.
Good luck.

Try smoking less every weak until your down to like 1 or 2 cigarettes per day. Stay at 1or 2 cigarettes per day for several weeks, until you can say “today I’m not smoking”. Bringing down the amount of nicotine in a slow fashion will minimize nicotine cravings. Quitting on a special day works. For instance quitting on fathers day to honor him. There’s lots of tips on the net. Just type tips to stop smoking. Good luck.
I was a smoker for about 5 years and so was my boyfriend, we both tried the patch, gum and a few other substances, none of them helped any! it was extremly frustrating, about a year after trying to quit with “chemicals” we started working out although we still smoked. every weekend we would go on a hike, 3-8 miles, well once we started hiking smoking became less desirable and we both quit cold turkey, wasnt too bad or even too hard. It has now been a year and the only time i ever even think about smoking is after a few drinks. so i suggest work out hard and have goals, go out for a hike and enjoy the fresh air, i hope this helps!
Well I quit smoking after I saw this video, I hope this help you! there’s nothing good about smoking

You may need extra help to quit… you can try replacing cigarettes with regular gum, because a lot of the process is quitting mentally and breaking habits.

Hi, meander837!
First off, congratulations on wanting to quit smoking! The best advice I can offer is to be ready to quit and to have a desire to live healthy. It seems you have that going for you since you are eating healthy and exercising regularly. Quitting is much easier for people who start changing their habits to live healthier.
Here’s what I’ve tried, what hasn’t worked, and what has.
I tried Chantix, but I had to stop taking it because of the side effects. I normally never suffer side effects to any medications and I have no known allergies, so I was bumbed when I couldn’t take it. Turns out there are lots of people who have problems with Chantix. But, then again, it works great from many people too, so it might be worth a shot, if you tried everything else.
Some of the side effects I experienced were an altered sense of smell and taste, anxiety, just feeling “weird”. I don’t really know how else to describe it, but I didn’t feel right and as soon as I stopped taking Chantix, I felt normal again. I really hated that everything I ate tasted terrible, I couldn’t enjoy my meals. Most smells were nauseatiung too, even nice scents. It was so annoying. I’ve looked around on several forums and this seems to be a common side effect. Personally, the withdrawal symptoms I had experienced in the past when doing the cold turkey thing were much more tolerable than the side effects of Chantix.
I also tried Wellbutrin. It worked, but I went back to smoking 6 months later. And the bad thing about Wellbutrin is that it only works the first time you try it. Wellbutrin doesn’t work if you go back to smoking and try to use it to quit a second time. It also gives you really bad dry mouth, but that subsides after several weeks. I looked at it as a plus because it kept me drinking more water than usual, and that’s always a good thing.
If you are looking for something NATURAL that really works, with no side effects, I have 2 recommendations. I tried everything (patch, gum, cold turkey, prescription meds, etc.) in the past to quit and nothing worked as good as this. I recommend it to everyone! I did both of these and have been cigarette free for 2 years and do not ever have cravings! It is so great, and I just want to share it with anyone who really wants to quit. You WILL stop smoking for good. It will change your life. You can get all the info here: http://www.optimumlifenow.com/QuitSmoking.html
I wish you the best of luck no matter which of the many available methods you decide to use. I think it’s great that you have decided to quit and that you are looking to do it in a healthy way. Good for you!!!
