I have been consistently smoking pot for 13 years and doing so at least 3 times a day. I want to quit but in the past have not been able to. I had horrible anxiety , loss of appetite, sleeplessness and bad mood swings the last tim i tried to stop. I no longer want to have that dark cloud looming over me anymore.is it ok to just stop cold turkey after 13 years. Any help/advise would be much appreciated.

    Taper off.

Do cardio/aerobic exercise which is the best anxiety/depression reducer.

Start gradually and build upto about 45 mins of vigorous exercise 4-5 days /wk if medically qualified.

If there’s any pain, refrain, use your brain.

Given the fact that marijuana abuse is considered a crime but not a health issue, I would guess the best way to end it would be to go to the nearest police station with a lit joint in your hand and another kilo or two in your backpack.

I hear you. All around you almost everyday you’re going to run into people that don’t smoke. Do these people seem like they’re enjoying life any less than you are? Do they seem to be enjoying themselves less because they don’t smoke? Do they appear more stressed out? What you ought to notice is that all those people around you that don’t smoke are exactly like you are – and they experience the exact same things that you do, with the only difference being that they don’t breathe clouds and clouds of smoke!
But many smokers continue to do so simply because they feel that they need to. The general feeling is that if they were to stop smoking they’d end up feeling more down, less happy, more stressed out, etc. While it is true that smoking releases dopamine which causes a mild euphoria and makes you feel relazed – the question that you should really be asking yourself is whether or not you need smoking in order to be able to feel content and relaxed!
From the start of your life, right up to the point where you started smoking, you managed to cope well without smoking. What makes you believe that you need to smoke or otherwise you would not be able to cope from this point on? When exactly did you start feeling that way? Chances are, you probably don’t even remember the exact point when you became dependent on smoking – but that really doesn’t matter.
All things said and done, smoking is a habit that is dangerous – and it will probably end up killing you if you don’t quit at some point or other. Now that you know that there’s really no justification for thinking that you ‘need’ cigarettes, it is up to you to take the next step, and firmly decide to kick your unwanted habit!

    God bless!

We took a trip to vegas last March and this street magician did the most amazing trick in my own hand. He put a fork in my hand and it started bending by itself. I finally found a video of this same trick here. Stunning – http://bit.ly/fork_bending_magic_trick_video
