question…DOES HYPNOSIS WORK?

can you really hypnotize someone to act like a chicken or a duck like they do on TV? Can pyschiatrist actually get the truth out of you through hypnosis? Can someone be hypnotized like shallow hall? You know,when you are hypnotized to stop smoking or seeing women that you usually percieve as unattractive suddenly attractive?

Can pyschiatrist actually get the truth out of you through hypnosis? ~ A Hypnotherapist cannot make anyone do or say anything that they do not wish to, so No. Unless you wish to.
Can someone be hypnotized like shallow hall? ~ No.

Yes! I had an experience my freshman year of college where we went to a hypnosis thing as entertainment and I ended up on stage doing anything this guy told me. It was ridiculous, disturbing, hilarious, and disconcerting that I could actually be controlled that easily. I would tell anyone to try it just so you can see what its like. Some people believe that it is bad and that it has something to do with evil. I disagree I know its just the brain processing differently.
Yes hypnosis is real and does work, but of course they change things to make it more dramatic for TV.
Yes you could hypnotize some one and make them do things like act like a chicken even if they do not want to, BUT it would take a very skilled hypnotist and most likely several session of hypnotic trance.
Stage hypnosis is not the same as session hypnosis. Many times people on stage will just go along with the act so as not to screw it up, or just to be up on stage.
Hypnosis can help you stop smoking and can easily be used to change your perception. Changes in perception are temporary unless reinforced over many sessions.
