Nicotine Withdrawals, Normal?

I’ve been going through withdrawals for 2 1/2 weeks now. One huge thing is starting to bother me. I have been having panic attacks on a daily basis because of the nicotine withdrawals. Now I don’t consciously feel anxious, nor do I think anxious thoughts, in fact, my mind is actually very calm right now. However, my body keeps reacting like it’s nervous, I get that nervous choking sensation/wanting to throw up sensation from being nervous, my heart is beating somewhat fast, however, I can hardly feel it beating unless I use my hand (perhaps due to chest congestion?), I have been having horrible head pressures on the sides of my head which causes slight dizziness at times. I’m a bit shaky and feel weak in my hands. I also have tension in my chest and neck. I don’t understand what is going on but I’m not anxious consciously whatsoever. The only time I may get anxious is when these symptoms occur and I wonder why the hell I am having them. I also used Lorazepam for a week (the ER doc gave it to me for panic attacks during withdrawals) which I stopped Wednesday. I don’t know if it’s the meditation/alpha brainwaves, the hypnosis for stop smoking/anxiety, or what. Any comments?

After 48 hrs. the body stops craving nicotine. This sounds more like a drug withdrawal. If you were on a large dose, this could be the cause since you stopped abruptly. However, you weren’t on it very long to become dependent. Keep in mind that your brain wants you to smoke but your body is not craving it. At this point, it is mental-which you can handle if you try hard enough. I did it.
