can you change your sexual preference through hypnosis?

hypnosis is used to suggest to the hypnotized person that they are someone who they are not i mean like to suggest to a person that he is more self confident or he hate smoking while he is a smoker and so he quits easily or they would stop eating alot and so on ,but is hypnosis powerfull enough to change someone sexual preference

Hypnosis works along with willpower… but since sexual preference is chemical in nature i do not think it will work since changing body chemistry is evasive…however if you just have sexual compulsion i think it may help you curb that tendency
Why would someone want to change it if they are not that way already!
I am kind of skeptical about hypnosis. I guess I just don’t believe in it, unless I experienced it myself and it worked. But, I still wouldn’t feel right about it. It seems hoaxy and an easy way out. I think people should actively work on changing their problems themselves- not by hypnosis.
I don’t think sexual preference is something that should be changed.. Unless, it really brings extreme unhappiness to an individual. But, in most cases, I think homosexuals might be more scared of what others think more than what they think about homosexuality.
Hypnosis can not change something if you do not want to change. Hypnosis can’t make you stop smoking if you enjoy smoking. It can’t make you do something you wouldn’t do normally and it can’t make you change your sexual preference if you don’t want to change. You can’t hypnotize anyone against their will and make them be someone they’re not.
Why would you want to change?
A person will not accept suggestions that are in conflict with the person’s personal ethics/mores. I believe this would apply in this situation. It may be possible to change the person’s mind about what is correct and then see if they would change. I have some trouble with the ethics of trying this.
yeah for a while. do you want to be a girl or guy. theres going under the knife. professional people required or else youll bleed to death. anyways hypnosis will probably help you havent sex change thoughts too.

I’ve seen instances where people were hypnotized to have a sexual preference for their own chair. Doesn’t that count as a change?
