Your Questions About Stop Smoking Help Pack

William asks…
I’m trying to stop smoking. I haven’t had a cig in 48 hours and was smoking a pack a day. What can I expect?
What’s going to happen? How bad is it going to be? Can anyone help me?

Werner Michael answers:
Actually, (this is different for everyone) but for me, the first 3 days were the easiest. After that I started getting crabby, and I had horrible dreams. Like nightmares. Chew a lot of gum and eat sunflower seeds. Have you ever tried the patch. I tried it when I was 19 and I actually quit off of it. I went back to smoking because I wanted to not because I needed to (dumb I know) but if you use the patch take it off at night so you don’t get nightmares. That causes bad dreams as well if you sleep with it on. Good luck. You can do it!

Mark asks…
How can i help my daddy stop smoking?
I have waited and waited for him to stop. But now i figure its time; time to stop now. I can’t bare seeing him torture his body; he is killing himself slowly, bit by bit. He has smoked since he was like 17. He has done it behind my back, he said he’d stop… 5 years ago. He wont be here much longer if he dosen’t stop… smokes 2-packs a day, all the time, at the least. I hear him cough, i see him in misery…help me please.

Werner Michael answers:
I know it hurts but it’s his own addiction. Quitting smoking is a lot harder than people think. I have read that it is as addicting as heroin can be to people.
What you do, ask him to go to the doctor. It’ll be his decision but they have a pill out called Chantix (sp). I have personally taken it before and it makes you not to even want to think about cigarettes! It seriously curbs the desire for them within the first 2 pills. I have heard nothing but great stories about that pill anyway. He has to want to quit though. He won’t have to put much effort into it since it usually makes you sick to your stomach to smoke a cigarette while taking the pill, but he’ll have to want to quit to step foot into that doctor’s office. I wish you well and have a Merry Christmas.
