My friend recently stopped. It helped her to use those vitamin-C cough drops..she got that oral fixation by eating those.
You also need to change your habits. Like, if you like to smoke when on the phone, you need to find something to do while on the phone..like doodling on paper or something to keep your hands busy.

Laura asks…
Free stop smoking MP3?
Hi. I have just created a free MP3 to help people stop smoking. I want to help as many people as possible, but cannot afford to set up a “real” website. I would like to publish this MP3 for free download, but don’t know where. Naturally, I would like as many people to find it was possible, so if it could come up on a search engine it would be good!

Werner Michael answers:
You can create a torrent and seed it.
Download Azureus, that should enable you to create a torrent, then you upload it to sites like mininova.org thepiratebay.org etc.
You can use the site http://yousendit.com and post the link here so we may take a look at it.

Robert asks…
what is a free way to stop smoking cigarettes?
my husband and i want to stop smoking. we dont have the money for paches. but stoping cold turkey is hard. i need help please
we are not buying cig right now but cold turkey is so hard

Werner Michael answers:
The only “FREE” way to quit is to quit cold turkey! Drink lots of water, eat healthy foods, and avoid trigger situations for a while. I’m trying to quit now, too. I have the most cravings when I’m at work and when I go out to a bar or restaurant.
I used “Smoke Away” several years ago and ended up quitting for a little over a year. I don’t know how it worked, but I remember not having any real cravings while I was using the product. I’ve tried the gum, and it does help with the cravings.
Someone else mentioned in another post that local hospitals might have a smoking cessation support group. That is a great idea that you and your husband could try. I live in Pittsburgh, so I’m surrounded by hospitals. There are tons of free smoking cessation groups, usually once a week.
If you’re able to spend a little bit of money, try “The Easy Way to Stop Smoking”. It’s a book by Alan Carr. I think you can find it on Amazon.com for less than $9. I have not read the book myself, but a lot of my friends at work have. I have two coworkers who have successfully quit cold turkey after reading the book. I don’t know anything about the book at all, but it might be worth looking into if people are having success with it.
One last bit of advice: don’t quit alone. You and your husband need to support each other, and it’s great that you’re quitting together. I know from experience that it’s nearly impossible to quit when there are other smokers in the house! Also seek the support and encouragement of your friends. Try relaxation techniques, or meditation, or prayer.
I understand how difficult it is. I continued to smoke even after my dad died of lung cancer at age 50.
It takes people several attempts to successfully quit, but you can! You’re bigger than that cigarette, so don’t give in to cravings. There’s nothing about smoking that we NEED, right? Keep up the good work!
Best wishes,
AJ

Helen asks…
How can I promote my Stop Smoking Website For Free ?
After the death of Allen Carr I have finally decided to spend some of my free time to help other people BASH THE WEED. I have made a real commitment for the new year to help other people give up as I have.
Due to smoking in 2006 we lost two dear friends and also two of my close family have died of cancer related illnesses in the past. To lose Allen Carr this year was a horrible loss as he has done so much for the cause, he was a titan in the war against the horrible habit.
Also new laws in 2007 will stop smoking in public places in the UK so gives people a real reason to stop. All profits of the website will be used to fund charities and further the products and development of the website.
So my question is how do I promote the website for free all around the world and help One Million People stop smoking?

Werner Michael answers:
Write to Drs – GPs and Health Boards etc. As well as stop smoking groups and charities, and maybe cancer charities and maternity clinics and nurserys (because you’d hope that new parents should extra want to give up). I think that it’s great that you’re giving your free time to this important cause – work with existing charities and drs as much as possible and don’t give up if you get some unenthusiastic responses at first.
Good luck xx

I WANT TO HELP PEOPLE STOP SMOKING for FREE ! BUT I NEED PREMISES , WAGES ETC. HOW CAN I DO IT ?

HOW DO I DO IT ?

The first thing that puts people off giving up smoking is the fear of failure….
The second thing ….is the cost !

Werner Michael answers:
You basically need FREE premises then?
Have you thought of setting up as a charity, or contacting the appropriate charities to see if they can spare a room?
Pubs have been hit by the smoking ban, and may have a free room spare to do your stuff, as this would bring in some potential new customers for them?
Doctors surgeries sometimes have rooms free at certain times, and would be a good source of referrals.
Churches, village halls, etc… It really depends whether you need a totally permanent place kitted out with couch etc, or if you could be fairly portable?
