… Trust me it is impossible to smoke and not stink like the dickens … Tell him how bad he smells ….. And avoid him and tell him when u see him you stink … He will stop once he realizes how bad he does smell

Break his cigs everytime you see them, tell him if he continues to smoke in the house you will break his cigs. No sex either, no cooking, no nothing. He needs to have some consideration for your health and your pets or kids health too. Second hand smoke is almost as bad as you smoking them. Also, it makes your house stink and your clothes, furniture, walls yellowed… Just play hardball…

Get some pamphlets on second hand smoke and display them all around the house.

As a last resort spray a bunch of perfume around him while he’s doing it or while he’s eating, etc.

Get it switched to generic Zyban (bupropion). Bupropion is almost always covered because it has two indications: depression and smoking cessation. It is not as good as Chantix, but still much better than everything else.
Most insurances do pay for Chantix or require a prior authorization.

There are a number of chemicals that can stop smoking, when added to food… Unfortunatly they kill people, if you quit breathing you will quit smoking..

I give my recipe… I stopped in 1987. I smoked 3 packs / day and one day I had the idea to calculate how many packs I smoked by year !.. I was 1 525.00 € ( $ 1,982.00 ).
When I saw that, I was like ” shocked ” !..!o! .. I immediately stopped and each day I put the money like if I smoked in a little ” pig ”, then I saved 1,525.00 € during the year when I stopped, do you see ? Tell this to your family ! .. !o!

I took a class on smokeing-prevention and stopping a smoker… Never leave him. Throw the cigs and everything away. Keep him ocupied so he won’t feel the need to smoke. Tell him , “hey, make a goal. No smokeing for 1 day”. If you say “hey, no smokeing for 1 month” That will dis-courage him. If he makes it for 1 day then tell him to go again and say “good, try to get through another day without smokeing”… If you are really haveing problems, then go COMPLETELY cold-turkey. (that means no smokeing, no thinking about it, fantisizing, NOTHING that relates to smokeing..

I just quit 30 days ago now… And after smoking for 10 years I know how tough it can be. There is nothing such as cold turkey in quitting. It has to be gradual withdrawal. Check what strenght cigarettes your mom used to smoke and then ask her to smoke half the strenght and half the amount for a few weeks and then half the strenght and amount again for a few weeks do this until she is smoking 2mg cigarettes and no more then 5 a day. After a while, replace the cigarettes with Nicotine gums and finally try going without cigarettes. It took me 6 weeks, but I’m off cigarettes for good. I used to smoke a pack a day and now I don’t need cigarettes at all.

You CANT make someone else stop. You just cant do it. He has to want to. And even with cancer, it his body and his choice.
