VOLUNTEER FOR THE 30TH ARTSCAPE FESTIVAL ON JULY 15-17
Artscape, America’s largest, free arts festival needs you! Produced by the Baltimore Office of Promotion & The Arts, the annual arts celebration relies on hundreds of volunteers each year to help make the festival its best. more than 30 volunteer opportunities are available. Each volunteer receives free parking, refreshments and an official 30th Artscape t-shirt. The deadline to sign up is Thursday, June 30, 2011. to apply, visit MyVolunteerPage.com. Volunteers must be 18 years of age or older. Artscape takes place Friday, July 15 and Saturday, July 16 from noon-10pm and Sunday, July 17 from noon-8pm on Mount Royal Avenue and North Charles Street.
Volunteers get a behind-the-scenes view of one of Baltimore’s biggest events, while offering much needed assistance to both festival coordinators and attendees. Areas in need of assistance include but are not limited to Rabbit Hole, an art installation and outdoor sculpture garden; High Zero’s Worlds in Collusion, featuring experimental music; karaoke on the 1982 Stage; Bike Parking Zone; Guest Services; and Target Make it at Artscape, offering storytelling and mini-workshops for younger festival-goers.
Once logged online to MyVolunteerPage.com, a short application must be completed. Thereafter, applicants can create their schedule by selecting volunteer opportunities and shifts of interest.
