Would you quit smoking if I would lose weight?

I know a married couple who made a deal to change something about them that the other one did not like. She would work out and lose weight if he stopped smoking. What are your thoughts on this? Have you or would you ever do something like this? Do you think this will help or hurt a marriage?

What are some way you believe could stop smoking?

For example raise the taxes on cigarettes, let people be more aware, create a law or something.

How do I stop a friend from smoking pot?

I have this friend who just old me that he smokes pot everyday to get rid of his pain. I try to tell him all the time that that is not the right way to deal with your problems, but he won’t listen. He also told me that I cause him pain because I won’t hook up with him! He likes me but I don’t like him, and he said he will stop smoking if I hook up with him! What should I do since I don’t want to do that?!

How can I help my mom stop smoking?

I’m only an 11 year old girl, but I want to help my mom to stop smoking. My dad and 12-year old brother are also trying to help, but does anyone have any suggestions on helping us? She’s kinda cranky since she tryed to quit, but still sneaks a few puffs, any help?

Can hyperthyroidism be reversed if you stop smoking?

My TSH level last week at a health screening was 0.007. If I stop smoking, is it likely that my TSH level will return to normal or is will I also have to take medication for the rest of my life? Is it possible to take medication for a brief period?
